ECU Worldwide strengthens senior leadership

The cornerstone of a successful business is a strong management team. ECU Worldwide has strengthened its leadership team for greater and specific focus towards customer centricity and technological focus.

Tim Tudor, who was previously Regional CEO — Americas, has taken over as the new CEO of ECU Worldwide. Tim has been with ECU Worldwide since 8 years. He was initially responsible for Latin America. In 2016, he took over the acquisition in USA and clubbed both North and South America. Under his leadership, ECU Worldwide has grown in Americas and expanded its product lines. His immediate responsibilities as the CEO will be to cover full P&L responsibility for ECU Worldwide globally along with all operational and line reporting.

Uday Shetty has been elevated to the newly created role of Chief Operating Officer (COO), continuing in his current role as the Regional CEO of ECU Worldwide APAC.

Uday has been with the company since close to two decades, holding several key positions that included the acquisition of ECU Worldwide in 2006. For the past 6 years he has been heading the APAC region as the RCEO.

He will remain based in Singapore, reporting to the Tim Tudor. In the new role, he will focus on operational excellence and quality apart from other functional expertise like Finance, IT, Legal, Human Resources, Insurance and Marcom.

Marc Stoffelen has been assigned the role of Corporate Business Development (CBD) for the entire Avvashya Group. He will report to the Chairman, Mr Shashi Kiran Shetty. Marc has been in various important roles since he joined ECU Worldwide 28 years ago, most recently as the Regional CEO of Europe.

He will be responsible for development and implementation of significant global opportunities to help the company achieve its vision.

Simon Bajada has been elevated as the Global Head for LCL — to bringing in more focus towards LCL — a product in which ECU Worldwide is the global leader. He will report to Tim and direct specific focus to launch new trade lanes and effectively optimize containers in terms of stowage. Simon has been closely working to develop various technical tools for customer delight and internal efficiency. This role will enable him to create synergy between ECU Worldwide’s services and products with demand at a larger scale with the help of technology.

Thomas Heydorn has been promoted as the Regional CEO for Europe (RCEO — Europe), including the United Kingdom. He will take charge with immediate effect, taking over from Marc Stoffelen and, will be reporting directly to Tim.

Thomas has been associated with ECU Worldwide since 12 years. He started our managing Germany. In 2012 he also took over Central Eastern European Region. In 2013 and 2017, Nordics, Balkans and Adria regions were also brought under him, respectively.

At the sixth Samudra Manthan Awards held in Mumbai on December 05, 2018, Allcargo Logistics was bestowed with the award of ‘Logistics Park of the Year, 2018’ whereas Avvashya CCI was recognised with the ‘CFS of the Year (DPD-Pan India), 2018’. Bhandarkar shipping, a leading publication of the shipping industry, has instituted these awards to recognise the performances of shipping companies and ignite a sense of healthy competition in the maritime sector, thereby energising it to work for the benefit of trade and economy.

The SCMPro Logistics and Supply Chain Awards were organised at the sidelines of the fourth Supply Chain Thought Leadership Summit held on December 08, 2018 at Hotel Orchid, Mumbai. The fourth edition of the awards saw Allcargo Logistics bagging a rich haul of three awards in the categories of ‘Best Contract Logistics Service Provider, 2018’, ‘Best Chemical warehouse, 2018’ and ‘Best Pharma warehouse ,2018’. The awards were presented to members of the Allcargo team in the presence of over two hundred CEOs and CXOs. Hosted and instituted by the Institute of Supply Chain Management (ISCM), these awards honour companies and individuals who are shaping the future of logistics and supply chains in India. There were more than 125 nominations from across the country for the coveted awards. As always, even this year, the winners were decided by a jury of eminent international academicians and experts.

Allcargo Logistics was conferred with ‘CSR Impact Award, 2018’ at the Corporate Social Responsibility Summit organised by UBS Forum at The Westin Garden City, Mumbai on November 28, 2018. Allcargo was bestowed with the honour for positively impacting over 2,50,000 lives in the last five years through education, health, environment, women’s empowerment, disaster relief and sports, and thereby promoting people-centric inclusive development.

ECU Chile turns 24

The ECU Worldwide Chile team celebrated its 24th anniversary on November 30, 2018.

The team rang in the day with a bowling competition. The winning group was rewarded with a sumptuous lunch and a holiday for the rest of the day while the best player won a gift card for Christmas shopping. It was a momentous occasion made memorable by the celebrations.

ECU Worldwide Chile has come a long way from that historic day in 1994 when the first import LCL container from Antwerp set sail in September 1994. Today, with a team of committed professionals and a winning mentality, ECU Worldwide Chile is the biggest NVOCC in LCL export and within the top four LCL imports NVOCCs.
