As India takes forward steps to ensure the ease of doing business by launching the much awaited and much applauded National Logistics Policy, it’s up to various logistics entities to propel the move to making India a USD 5 trillion economy. Adding another feather to its cap is the recently commemorated, state-of-the-art logistics park in Malur Karnataka.
The logistics park is already accelerating economic growth and infrastructure development in Karnataka, enabling the state to become a logistics hub that seamlessly connects India to the southern states of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, making it a desired destination for big businesses.

Strategically located along the Bengaluru-Chennai economic corridor, the logistics park is especially beneficial for the many e-commerce players, engineering and auto-ancillary industries, and manufacturing and logistics entities that populate the area.
The park has already witnessed solid demand from e-commerce and quick commerce players such as Amazon, Flipkart and French sporting goods giant, Decathlon. Decathlon has taken up 900,000 square feet of space, while Flipkart has taken over 500,000 square feet, and Amazon has taken up 300,000 square feet in the logistics park.
Having launched similar facilities simultaneously in the NCR region and in Hyderabad, this facility was developed in record time in a build-to-suit model, as per the requirements of the different businesses.
The world-class facility has been constructed as per international benchmarks of quality, safety, and sustainability standards in construction. The 100-acre park spread over two million square feet, the built-to-suit facilities that incorporate emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, further provide impetus to sustainable warehousing in the state. The park has immense potential to bring in enhanced efficiencies and productivity in logistics through digitalization, augmented warehousing capacity and robust physical infrastructure.
From an environment perspective, it is also an IGBC Platinum certified building – the first warehouse in Karnataka to be certified for its sustainable practice of water conservation and use of solar power.

Moreover, the logistics park is also creating employment opportunities directly on-site, by creating over 5000 jobs.
The logistics park was commemorated on 3rd October 2022, in the presence of various state dignitaries such as a Member of Parliament, a Member of Legislative Assembly and Members of the Legislative Council, Indian Administrative Service officers, a senior police official, and industry leaders. Conclusion
The excellent state-of-the-art logistics park is already unleashing value for businesses and will further accelerate economic growth and infrastructure development in Karnataka.
