Allcargo Logistics partners with Tamil Nadu based Foundation to provide essential supplies to communities affected by covid-19

Through RAHAT project Avashya Foundation reached out to over 750 members in Chennai’s rural villages, for supporting underprivileged families during COVID19 crisis

Avashya Foundation partnered with Foundation of His Sacred Majesty (FHSM) in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Together the activity was executed to reach out to 250 underprivileged families comprising over 750 members affected by the covid-19 induced lockdown.

The family members included disabled, pregnant women, widow, elderly and children. Since all the bread winners are mostly daily wagers, this lock down due to Covid-19 has been tough on their livelihood with no earnings, forcing them to have insufficient meals per day.

The initiative of supporting needy and deserving families had a huge impact in the life of the affected people.

Grocery kits comprising rice, dal, sugar, salt and other essentials like vegetables were distributed to marginalized communities and families residing in slums as part of the RAHAT project.

The families belonged to the socially and economically backward communities in Molachur village in Tindivanam Taluk, Narikuravr Kudiiruppu in Sunammedu villag and Chengalpattu district along with families of the other communities living near Jamaat of Mount Road Chennai in Tamil Nadu.
