Gati employees united to help people in need who were affected by the recent flood in Assam and Bihar. Huge support was extended by the teams to help the flood relief camp.
On the occasion of Independence Day, 15th August 2020, Flood Relief Camps were organized in selected flood affected areas in Assam and Bihar. All of Gati’s employees in the Eastern region contributed and raised approximately INR 83,000 for procuring relief materials. Teams of volunteers both in Assam and Bihar have successfully carried on distribution of relief materials in flood affected areas of Haribhanga (Assam) and Chhapra (Bihar). Assam Team was led by Pradeep Kumar Singh, Anand Singh, Soumen Ray and Navojit Kalita of Gati.
Bihar Team was led by Benudhar Satpathy, Sunil Singh, Kanhaiya Yadav, Ashutosh Anand and Rahul Kumar of Gati.
With more than 2.8 lakh people being affected and more than 90 recorded to be dead, a small help extended by Gati employees has made difference in many lives.
