Allcargo associates with Vijetha School to raise the quality of life of the mentally & physically challenged children

The social and physical barriers set up in society prevent differently-abled people from rising above and living up to their full potential. Allcargo becomes a ray of hope for such people.

As per census 2011, around 2.21% of India’s population is differently-abled, which means that there are a little over 2 crore people in our country who are living with some form of physical or mental handicap.

With such a large population with special needs, it’s important to understand why they’re still a minority group desperately in need of uplifting. The fact that they require special care which may require more finances, leave most families in despair.

Allcargo with an objective to raise the quality of life of the mentally & Physically challenged children despite of caste and religion, creating an environment conducive to their inclusive growth in a holistic manner, physically, mentally and spiritually, with an aim enable them as far as possible to become self- reliant and fit in within main stream of society,  has adopted a holistic approach for each and every segment in the society to empower them and given opportunity to stand up.  Allcargo joined hands with Vijetha special school in Karkala, Udupi in Karnataka state to reach to the specially abled children to make them abled with various interventions.

Vijetha Special School is a rehabilitation center for children with physical and mental disabilities, in the state of Karnataka. The major activities of the foundation are physiotherapy and special education. These are implemented by trained physiotherapists and special educators with the help of assistant teachers and supporting staff.

Children with disabilities are identified through evaluation and assessment using various tools. Most of the mentally challenged people are from the age group of 5 to 40 years. Allcargo helps the school in providing education food and shelter, clothing and necessary medical treatment.
