Allcargo’s skill development center PMKK bounces back with online and Offline training

During the unprecedented situation of Pandemic that started in 2020, skill development center PMKK stood for its students and continued to skill young talents via online platform. As the situation is gradually getting back to normal the center has re started the physical training program with all safety and precautionary measures.

Allcargo’s Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra (PMMK) in Uran bounced back with the physical skill training which kicked off in November 2020 with 90 students of Consignment tracking executive in two batches and one batch of Inventory clerk at the new premises of JNPT Township.  As per the SOP/ guidelines issued by Ministry of Health and Family welfare (MoHFW) and Ministry of Skill development (MSDE) the setup has been made and followed regularly for skilling. Social distancing, regular sanitation of premises, chairs and classroom, Laboratory, compulsory wearing of mask, hand sanitizing and regular cleaning is observed with utmost care.

The sessions are made interesting through various visual videos clips, interactive activities. Every day the sessions are conducted for 4 hours covering the theory and practical part as per the central scheme syllabus.

The exams for the students enrolled for the stream of Consignment Booking Assistant, Consignment tracking executive, Documentation Assistant, Inventory clerk and Warehouse Picker course is conducted under the National Backward Classes Finance Development Corporation (NBCFDC) scheme for the backward class students at the center, for whom the online training were conducted during the lockdown. 

Exams for the PMKK students were conducted physically in January 2021 after the completion of the IC and CTE course for 60 students at the JNPT center. 

The center has facilitated the training for 200 plus students during the tough times of lock down and over 80 student after the relaxation of norms and approval to start the physical training under PMKK scheme from Central and State government.
