Allcargo supports children affected with cancer.
Jeevan Coping with Cancer project was initiated with the objective of providing chemotherapy support, psycho-social support and helping children affected by cancer to receive mainstream education. Jeevan Coping with Cancer is being implemented at K.E.M. and Nair Hospital, Mumbai and has been very effective as it addresses the challenges of affordability of and accessibility to public health. In the month of April and May 2021, Jeevan Coping with Cancer project has supported patients with cancer with 164 chemotherapy sessions at K.E.M. hospital.
Due to the lockdown, mobility of patients and caregivers has been severely impacted. It has delayed treatment for many patients. Loss of livelihood has created huge hurdles for patients to continue their treatment. During these challenging situations, Jeevan Coping with Cancer has significantly helped them to continue receiving follow up treatment.
At this difficult juncture, we at Avashya Foundation are grateful we could help those affected by cancer, especially the little ones, in their fight to win.
