Jeevan – enabling hope

Avashya Foundation’s Jeevan Project gives people, affected by ailments, a fighting chance to survive.

Healthcare forms a cornerstone of our CSR interventions, wherein we try to resolve the challenges faced by marginalized communities with regard to good quality and safe healthcare.

Of our various healthcare projects, the Jeevan Project, which we implement in Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General Hospital and Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College and Charitable Hospital, Mumbai, is one of our most important initiatives. Through this project, we support people affected by various life-threatening diseases with medical & educational assistance, psycho-social counselling and livelihood support.

Health ailments, while being a serious issue for anyone, can especially debilitate those families who are financially vulnerable. To give the affected person a fighting chance to survive, mitigate the financial burden, and reduce the anxiety of the affected individual’s family members, Jeevan Project was inaugurated by philanthropist, Mrs Arathi Shetty, Non-Executive Director, Allcargo Logistics, who spearheads Avashya Foundation.

Under this initiative, over the past year we have supported a total of 648 patients with medicines, and their investigative and operative requirements. In addition, we also provided scholarships to 10 students whose parents underwent treatment at the hospital.

At Avashya Foundaton, we are determined to help more such people lead a healthier and better life by providing access to healthcare.
