Y. L. Nair Charitable Hospital (Nair Hospital), and King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEM Hospital).
The core objective of this project is to provide psycho-social counselling, medical and educational assistance and livelihood support to people, who are affected by serious diseases.
Medicines and treatment being an expensive proposition, especially for those who need it repeatedly, over the past three months, nearly 2,100 patients from underprivileged backgrounds were supported with medicines, chemotherapy, operations and medical investigations. In addition, scholarships were given to 40 students, who are either being treated or whose parents are undergoing treatment at Sion, Nair and KEM Hospitals.
Through this project, our aim is to reach out to the vulnerable and help alleviate their pain by holding their hand through this extremely trying phase in their life and that of their family.
