Skill training program for tribal and village communities

Allcargo Logistics with Avashya Foundation has initiated to train youths’ across the Maharashtra state since 2015-16 from its business locations, Uran. As part of Allcargo’s CSR initiative, Dhamni village has been adopted by Avashya Foundation for the overall development of the tribal community and other communities.

One such initiative is to skill the youth in logistics sector to develop their capacity and make them employable. The foundation has started the mobilisation of interested youth from Dhamni and surrounding villages to form a batch of 30 trainees from March 2022. The training would be conducted in the adopted, Dnyanai Madhaymik Vidyalaya, Dhamni. 

The warehouse trainees will be imparted daily 2-3 hours of extensive training in warehouse management including documents, booking, tracking, transportation, products, storages, health, safety processes, which also includes visit to our contract logistics warehouse in Uran. In addition to that they will be given soft skills training which includes basic English communication and computer literacy.  

Mr. Chandrakant Patil Sr. Manager, Skill Development manager introduced the concept of the course and its benefits, facts and figures of logistics and how it works, ending with motivational talks for students.

Mr. Dilip Kuchelal, founder member of Learn High skills, Head finance and Research discussed with students on computer concepts, financial importance and basic communication and many more. Mr. Sunit Dhanke Program Manager, Abhiyaan Foundation updated the students on training duration, daily schedules, assessment certification and placements.
