Let’s talk our minds!
“For long our minds have eluded many, though men like Freud did make us understand our own allusions, we still fail to master our minds, understand why it is like this sometimes, lost in inner conflicts and our innate idiosyncrasies.“
With mental health awareness messages and campaigns doing the needful, to break societal shackles of taboo and shame, associated with it, Avashya Foundation, our CSR arm organized free psychiatric camps in Janardhana Swamy Temple premises, Seon Ashram Trust, Gandibagilu.
Unlike urban and metropolitan cities, rural localities do not see much of a furor when it comes to mental health.
Therefore, organizing such camps in suburban areas enhances people’s awareness of mental health, offering to amend related fallacies, stigma, and superstitions attached to mental illness. The camp allowed mental health screening and counseling with affordable psychiatric help attended by over 266 localities. Our mental health camps allowed the availability of resources to identify, counsel, or refer people with mental health issues for building a mentally healthy community at large.
