A resource for everyday life, not the objective of living. Health is a positive concept emphasizing social and personal resources, as well as physical capacity”. – WHO
With all the health awareness shout-outs in the urban cities and metros, Avashya Foundation took the initiative to promote health awareness campaigns in remote rural areas of Bantawala and Mangalore, with Prajna Counselling Centre, Mangalore. To boost medical facilities, we organized booths for free health checkups and provided them with reports on their health conditions, furthering them with cures and treatments, which benefitted over 2000 rural localites. We arranged for routine blood pressure and blood sugar check-ups throughout ten medical camps, attended over by 2000 people.
Our free medical camps were attended by doctors from various departments from general physicians to ENT, ophthalmology, Ortho, Paediatrics, Dermatology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and the likes.
