To work with children, to work for children, and to be with children and that too who are specially abled is bliss.
The awareness regarding these niche problems in society is very low and we have taken initiatives towards spreading awareness and seeking support for the same. The entire Dhvani program is directed and motivated toward mainstreaming children with hearing impairment. We have been working in collaboration with the Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) workers and supervisors in the Mankhurd community area. The specially abled children need more care and their education also needs to be highly specialized. There are very limited institutions in India that offer the facilities needed for specially abled children. One of the most basic needs is education which lays the very foundation of the future of a child. We are grateful to the Child Development Project Officer at ICDS, for extending his complete support towards the program for the year 2022-2023.
We at Avashya, have always worked towards and for the betterment of backward communities by spreading nutritional awareness and universal hearing and screening. Our orientation session for Dhvani program was organized for mainstreaming children of the Mankhurd community.
