On a mission to build rooms to read, with our – School Library Program!
Committed to enlightening and educating the youths of tomorrow, and with an aim to inculcate reading habits amongst school children, we organized a School Library Program in Zilla Parishad schools in Bhendkhal and Uran, Maharashtra in association with Zilla Parishad of Raigad district, encouraging them to read books, gain knowledge, and contribute towards a society equal for all. We gave out more than 6,000 books, benefiting 1,417 students in 12 Zilla Parishad schools, aligning with our vision of promoting education as a cornerstone for nation-building and fostering a solid foundation for the future.
The School Library Program was attended by many dignitaries, and senior leaders including Ambadas Yadav (HR Head, Allcargo Logistics Ltd. Khopta), Mr. Pradeep Alwa (AGM Transport Operations, Khopta), Mr. Rajesh Srivastav (Safety Head, Allcargo Logistics Ltd), Mr. M.K. Mhatre (Kendra Pramukh, Education Department of Raigad), Mrs. Bhagat, Principal of Zilla Parishad School, Bhendkhal, Uran. Also, teachers and representatives from several other schools were present.
Representatives of Kendra Pramukh Education and students from primary and high schools in the area were also present in the School Library Program. The school library is a repository of books on general knowledge, history, and Indian mythology in Marathi, Hindi, and English.
We are working for years in collaboration with local communities, and NGO partners to develop literacy skills and a habit of reading among primary school children, and also extending support to the girl children to complete their schooling with the relevant life skill training to succeed.
