This World Environment Day, June 5th, our teams from offices and facilities across the world, came forward to plant trees, and raise awareness on the need to protect our natural resources.
These activities are in alignment with our aim to plant a million trees, a goal that we will reach in 2023.
Committed to small, simple sustainable actions to make a huge impact together, here’s how our team members from all over the world came together to sow the seeds of sustainability, to make a difference.
Taking steps to be plastic free
In keeping with our core value of Care for Environment and Society, we are taking steps to eliminate single use plastics from our premises. On June 6, 2023, Allcargo House our Head Office in Mumbai, India – proudly declared itself a plastic-free zone. Disposable plastic items like bags, bottles, and cutlery are now strictly prohibited at Allcargo House.
In fact, cloth bags are kept at the entrance of the premises, and anyone carrying plastic bags are asked to hand it over in exchange for a cloth bag. Around 150 cloth bags have been distributed and an equal number of plastic bags have been collected so far.
