Affordable and quality healthcare is the fundamental right of all, and is essential for the spirit of equality in our society. Avashya foundation, through its CSR initiatives, has spearheaded transformative health projects aimed at promoting affordability and accessibility in public health. The Jeevan, and Jeevan – Coping with Cancer projects take a multifaceted approach, providing psycho-social counselling, medical and educational assistance, and livelihood support to individuals grappling with various illnesses.
Over nine years, the foundation’s efforts at three prominent municipal-run hospitals at Mumbai – the Sion, Nair, and KEM hospitals, have touched the lives of 28,430 patients. Additionally, 12,127 chemotherapy treatments have been facilitated at Nair and Cama Hospitals, between 2015 and 2023.
For the year 2023 alone, up till September, 2930 patients have received our support for Chemotherapy, medicines, surgery and medical investigations at the three hospitals.
Acknowledging the foundation’s contributions, all three hospitals presented mementos to Allcargo on the recent occasion of the 103th foundation day of Nair Hospital. Moreover, the foundation’s commitment to education is evident through the scholarships granted to students from these hospitals, to patients who are students, and to children whose parents underwent treat at the hospitals, creating a ripple effect of positive change.
