Designed to provide practical knowledge and skills, industry insights, and hands-on-training to youth from marginalised and under-served communities, Nipun’s Retail Training program is a training initiative kicked off earlier this year at Tiruvancherry Skill Development Centre in Tiruvancherry, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. It has concluded four batches so far, training over 200 young men and women between the age group of 18 to 25 years. The training program is powered by Allcargo Logistics Limited, and the Foundation of His Sacred Majesty (FHSM), is the implementation partner on ground.
The program aims to enhance the skills and capabilities of individuals in various areas, including skills of the participants for the retail industry, and providing the necessary knowledge and abilities to excel in various retail roles, improve customer service skills with effective communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills , enhance product knowledge, teach sales techniques, develop merchandising skills such as product placement and creating attractive displays to maximize sales.
