Drushti: Fostering Community Wellbeing through Free Eye Check-up Camps

Allcargo Group’s commitment to social responsibility shines brightly through its Drushti programme, aimed at providing free ophthalmic check-ups and preventive care to underprivileged communities. For marginalized communities, accessing regular healthcare services, including eye care, poses significant challenges. Through these free eye check-up camps, Allcargo ensures essential medical services reach those who need it most. By offering screenings, distributing spectacles, and facilitating cataract surgeries, the Drushti programme promotes health equity, prevents avoidable vision impairments, and enhances community well-being among underprivileged populations. Partnering with the NGO SAAD, Allcargo’s group companies organized numerous eye check-up camps, addressing vital health and social issues between January and March 2024: Allcargo Supply Chain conducted 6 camps, screening 1130 individuals, distributing 755 spectacles, and facilitating 30 cataract surgeries. Allcargo Terminals organized 8 camps, screening 1813 individuals, distributing 1140 spectacles, and facilitating 76 cataract surgeries. Transindia Real Estate spearheaded 9 camps, screening 2189 individuals, and distributing spectacles. The Drushti programme reflects Allcargo’s dedication to improving public health and fostering inclusivity in society. These initiatives underscore Allcargo’s commitment to creating a more compassionate and equitable world.
