Avvashya CCI (ACCI) expanded its footprint in India on December 5, 2018, when it inaugurated its first warehouse in Uran, on the outskirts of Mumbai close to the JNPT port. The opening ceremony was attended by the lead team of ACCI and its primary clients, who subsequently planted saplings to mark the occasion.

The state-of-the-art warehousing facility is spread across 170,000 sq ft and specialises in chemical storage. Managed by ACCI’s team of around 80 trained professionals, it is well-equipped with all the amenities, making it the best warehouse in the vicinity. Armed with water sprinklers, alarm systems, smoke detectors, and other safety devices, it is fire complaint and has all necessary permissions in place. It boasts of offering 14,400 pallet positions, FM2 flooring, ample parking space for offloading material, and 24X7 security team for vigilance and safety monitoring though CCTV.

Chemical warehousing is capital and labour intensive and carries with it the risks and possibilities of fires, burns, inhalation of toxic fumes, and impact on the environment. It requires strict adherence to standards related to the safety of people, material and the environment, and also necessitates the presence of professional manpower trained in handling chemicals and materials that may be classified as hazardous. Continuous safety and security training and mock safety drills at regular intervals to all its specialised staff and executives are imparted at the warehouse.
