Here’s how AllcargoGATI, our ground express arm, played a role in supporting Team India during the T-20 World Cup.
In a country where cricket is a religion, and cricketers are the gods that stride the earth, there are various factors that contribute to their reign. A stellar team of coaches, doctors, sports experts, and various kinds of support staff help the Dream 11 to consistently deliver their best. In addition to these, an agile logistics team needs to be active on the ground ensuring on-time delivery of kits and other physical assets to ensure the team has everything they need as per schedule. This is where our ground express arm AllcargoGATI comes in. Chosen by international sports giant, Adidas, to be their partner to deliver the players kits, this time our team had the pleasure of delivering the Champions India t-shirts for the victory parade.
A Historic Moment for Team India
This world cup win was of course a historic moment for team India, as in the ICC’s own words, “India ended a 13-year global event drought with victory in the finals.” No doubt, the country’s citizens were giddy with joy and Mumbai, the country’s cricket capital was all set to host the celebration in its signature style with an open-bus, victory parade along the Queen’s Necklace, on 4th July 2024.
The specially designed Champions T-shirt had to be delivered on time for the victors who were returning from the Caribbean. This delivery itself was a remarkable logistical feat that had to be carried out in a very short span of time and involved seamless coordination between AllcargoGATI’s air freight wing which received the t-shirts and ground express team, which handled the last mile delivery. Navigating the tight timeline to ensure on-time delivery was the need of the hour and we are proud to say AllcargoGATI delivered.
Chosen to deliver
This is not the first world cup for which we have handled the deliveries for the Indian cricket team. As Adidas’ delivery partner, AllcargoGATI previously handled the deliveries for the 13th edition of the ICC’s Men’s Cricket World Cup, which took place in India in October 2023. In addition, AllcargoGATI also delivered kits for the Indian women’s cricket team, just ahead of their Bangladesh tour, as well as for our under-19 men and women cricket teams as well.
