ECU Worldwide has placed greater power in the hands of its customers in the shape of digital tools that allow greater connectivity, flexibility and convenience. The interface for the new initiative is ECU Worldwide’s redesigned website. The new website was launched in April 2018 by Shashi Kiran Shetty, ECU Worldwide Chairman, and Claudio Scandella, CEO, at Avvashya House, the company’s corporate headquarters in Mumbai, India.
Designed in 8 languages, the website has a dedicated page for each of the 184 countries that the company operates in. Aligned with ECU Worldwide’s vision of ‘One world, One office’, the website is designed to facilitate easy information exchange for an enhanced customer experience.
At the heart of the website is ECU 360, a collection of innovative tools, that empower customers and give them greater visibility and convenience. The advanced technical tools enable customers to book, track and trace shipments and even access historical data. The tools also facilitate shorter wait time, faster online bookings and invoice generation, and reduced paperwork. The new website is also integrated with electronic data interchange and automated reply tools.
ECU Worldwide’s technological offerings along with its strong posse of experienced professionals, local expertise and value-added services are aimed at delivering end-to-end logistic services and buttress the company’s position as the world’s No.1 LCL player.
Bonding over golf in Singapore
ECU Worldwide organised a friendly golf tournament in Singapore for its top customers at Sentosa Golf Club, one of the top-five championship courses in Asia, on February 10, 2018. ‘Perfect Golf’ was just the right kick-off to connect with the clients at the beginning of the year. The senior management team — Chairman Shashi Kiran Shetty, Joint Managing Director Adarsh Hegde, CEO Claudio Scandella along with the APAC team of Uday Shetty, Brahmananda Sharma and Kunal Awasthy welcomed the guests. Mr Shetty conveyed his best wishes for the upcoming year and thanked them for their long-standing association with ECU and for attending the event. The participants teed off in the afternoon after lunch. Engaging in a round of healthy competition, Mr Shin Kim, Regional MD, HMM; Mr Dh Oh, MD, HMM; Mr Eddie Lee, CEO, Westports and Mr Jason Wong, COO, APL emerged as the winners.
The evening saw everyone unwind onboard a yacht, One Marina, which took the attendees for a gentle cruise on the tranquil waters of the river. The attendees were treated to sumptuous western and oriental cuisines. As a token of appreciation, all guests were presented with certificates bearing a commitment that five trees were planted in the honour of each of them at the Sunderbans forest in India. The trees were planted in partnership with Grow-Trees — an organisation which works towards preserving the environment by addressing problems of deforestation and global warming through an idea as simple as tree plantation.
The calm seas, open deck and the setting sun cast a mesmerising effect on the attendees. They had an evening that they would cherish for a long time.
